The Opportunity:
We are hiring part time to full time Back of House Shift Leads at our south county locations
Our North Park and Oceanside locations are our flagship locations, featuring scratch kitchens that serve seasonal breakfast and lunch offerings. Our kitchen utilizes modern equipment including TurboChef ovens to deliver high-quality food efficiently. This position oversees kitchen operations and food preparation while maintaining our high standards for quality and presentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate kitchen operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all menu items
- Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory, including proper rotation and storage of products
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and standards
- Coordinate with FOH team to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- Assist in menu development and implementation of seasonal items
- Execute daily prep lists and production schedules
- Maintain organized and clean workstations throughout service
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste
- Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory needs, staff performance, and operational challenges
- Assist in maintaining proper documentation for health department compliance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen setting
- At least 1 year of kitchen leadership experience
- Current Food Handler's certification

- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:

Position Details:
This is a part time or full-time, hourly position, starting at $17.70, plus share of the tip pool which averages around $11-$13 per hour.
