Position Overview:
We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Entry Level Events Assistant. As an Entry Level Events Assistant, you will be working closely with our events team to help plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events ranging from corporate meetings to social gatherings.
Salary Range: $21.00 - $30.25 hourly
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events from inception to completion.
- Support the events team in logistical arrangements such as venue selection, catering, and transportation.
- Help manage event registration processes and attendee communication.
- Prepare and distribute event materials such as invitations, programs, and informational packets.
- Assist with on-site event execution, including setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors, sponsors, and attendees during events.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, communication, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in event planning or relevant internships is a plus but not required.
