POSITION SUMMARY: Directs regional clinic programs including the development, planning, evaluation, operations, and supervision clinic staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or Doctorate in Psychology, or master's degree in social work, or Clinical Counseling with applicable independent licensure, i.e. LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPP, or Licensed Autonomous Functioning in Psychology, and 5 years' experience in clinical services and management.
SKIL SETS: Highly organized, articulate, decisive and trustworthy. Other skill sets include but are not limited to exceptional computer skills, leadership and analytical skills.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises employees, assigns client cases, completes performance evaluations, and approves timecards and appropriate leave.
- Maintains a 5 day a week work schedule onsite, Monday through Friday, rotating between all clinical programs in your area.
- Maintains a quarterly average of 25% productivity, providing individual, group, family, and crisis therapy.
- Recruits, interviews, and recommends employee hires, and recommends follow up personnel actions (promotions, terminations, etc.).
- Trains and orients new employees to departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs intake assessments, diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, and performs or oversees psychological testing, guardianship evaluations, Hospital Discharge services, Mental Inquest Warrant evaluations, and other specialized services.
- Engages in community outreach, consults with community stakeholders in order to address community needs.
- Ensures that programs are in compliance with all applicable federal and state licensure regulations and standards.
- Provides leadership for case staffing and administrative meetings.
- Assesses administrative problems and initiates resolutions in consultation with appropriate clinical and administrative staff. Coordinates interfacing of clinic therapist with other agency clinical programs.
- Assesses and identifies needs of physical facility to Operations/Support Services and IT directors.
- Oversees compliance with payer source processes, responds to Compliance and Accounts Payable Departments as needed. Assesses payer mix of clientele, implements plan to match client payer with paneled provider(s).
- Provide clinical supervision to related discipline or area of practices in accordance to relevant State Board requirements and Communicare policy.
- Oversees and participates in training for therapist interns and other designated students.
- Consults with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to develop optimal treatment plans for patients requiring behavioral healthcare treatment.
- Develops and delivers community behavioral healthcare information and education, professional continuing education seminars and workshops to the mental health community.
- Maintains regular contact with primary referral sources, serves as liaison to community leaders, referral development; organizes community resources as necessary for implementation of programs.
- Participates and provides leadership in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Coordinates crisis response during routine daytime hours.
- Works with Medical Director to ensure that the community has adequate access to prescriber activities.
- Responsible for all service lines (therapy, case management, peer, substance abuse) and service modalities.
- Ensures that the region possesses the optimal service array given resource and geographic restraints.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
