Responsible for monitoring revenue cycle processes to identify potential areas of improvement in efficiency and profitability. Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe. Provides revenue cycle training to providers and support staff as needed. Assists with identifying ways to reduce expenses without compromising quality. Acts as liaison between analytics and operations and business office staff.
Duties And Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree required
Five years’ experience in healthcare, business or equivalent experience plus a high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree
Experience Managing Projects In Medical/clinical Setting Preferred
Significant expertise in billing and eligibility requirements for Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance
Five (5) years’ experience training staff in a healthcare environment; or eight (8) years’ experience as a medical assistant
Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT codes and medical terminology
Advanced knowledge of computerized billing systems
Must have the ability to multitask and work to critical time-lines and under pressure
Ability to work collaboratively with other department leaders and staff
Strong communication skills
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to travel from site to site within various counties using personal vehicle
Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change

Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible to support projects and bring value through Operations. Reviews processes for operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement. Identifies performance trends, scans business/industry trends, reviews revenue/financial analyses and interprets data. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
- Coordinates with department leaders to provide supplemental training for clinic support staff regarding coding compliance and third-party payer requirements on an as needed basis. Collaborates with billing and operations staff regarding revenue cycle continuous process improvement efforts, related both to value-based care and claims-based reimbursement.
- Provides training for all levels of clinic support staff on revenue cycle processes and best practices. Acts as liaison between analytics and operations staff and business office department. Analyzes employee EHR usage performance through report analysis. Reports findings to appropriate leadership as needed and suggests performance improvement plans on a case by case basis.
- Assists with project start-up activities and throughout the life cycle of the project. Reviews project plans to determine time frames, procedures for accomplishing project, staff requirements, and allotment of available resources for various phases of project.
- Establishes time lines, communicates with team members, and tracks project objectives. Schedules and coordinates site trainings as required. Creates, updates, and maintains project trackers, and ensures timely updates.
- Collaborates with project personnel to identify challenges, provide feedback, and to resolve problems. Serves as liaison between project members to resolve concerns.
- Consistently demonstrates a service-oriented mindset by providing excellent internal/external customer service. Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications represent the Center in a highly professional manner at all times. Able to apply sound judgment, emotional intelligence and decorum to sensitive, confidential and unpredictable situations.
