Join a team of professionals working to fulfill the mission and further the strategic goals of Communication Federal Credit Union. As an Accountant you will be responsible for general ledger functions and the reconciliation of subsidiary journals and bank accounts for the credit union. You will also handle and support the department's responsibilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and other projects as assigned.

What You'll Do
- Prepare, verify, and control all tasks associated with general ledger journal entries.
- Assist in correcting transactions, research accounting data to resolve errors.
- Reconcile accounts payable/ receivable, bank accounts, misc. accounts, savings accounts, share certificates and loans to the trial balance.
- Maintain department files, reports, documents, and records.
- Work with auditors and examiners to handle inquiries and requested materials.
- Assist with month-end financial reports.
- Act as backup for other accounting roles.
- Other assignments as required.
Education and Experience
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position for a financial institution
- Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions
