- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles and equipment in the New England region.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the fleet.
- Set up and manage repair appointments with internal mechanics or external vendors.
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks, prioritizing urgent needs to keep the fleet operational.
- Review and verify invoices from vendors and suppliers for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform hands-on mechanic work, including diagnostics, mobile repairs, and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist in complex repairs and provide technical expertise to the team.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Order necessary parts and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years in a maintenance or repair role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
- Ability to review and process invoices accurately.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
