At Communications Construction Group, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in telecommunications construction. As an Aerial Construction Laborer, you'll work on various projects, including aerial cable installation and maintenance.
This role offers a chance to develop your skills in using hand tools and equipment, operating mechanized equipment, and setting up safety perimeters. You'll also learn about established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
In this position, you'll be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, safely using hand tools and equipment, and safely operating mechanized equipment. You'll also set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers, and flag traffic when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Valid drivers license
- Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
- Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
- Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
