Radio Frequency (RF) Communication Maintenance Tech

This role does NOT require a bachelor's Degree. It does require some bending & lifting on a regular basis.
Radio Frequency (RF) Tech will be responsible for testing, installation, repair & maintenance of conventional & trunked two-way radio products to include analog & digital radio equipment including mobile & portable radios, portable, mobile, repeater from manufacturers such as Harris & others. Therefore, the role Requires an FCC GROL License, which will be required within 180 days of employment if not already possessed.
Must have and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of:
- RF circuitry & propagation, digital circuitry, solid state
- Circuitry & A/C circuitry-RF troubleshooting
- Installation of telecommunications equipment
- Testing & maintaining two-way radio & associated equipment
- Programing radio equipment-Good applied computer skills
- Ability to learn & put to use various aspects of high-tech wireless equipment maintenance.
- Must be able to read & understand electronic drawings, schematics & documentation
- Must be competent in electronic equipment as related to job tasks
- Must be able to lift items that weigh 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must have the ability to bend, crouch, walk around on a regular basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must demonstrate competency in electronics soldering (surface & through hole)
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Preferred candidates possess: Associates (AS) degree in Electronics, RF Communications or equivalent certification or 4 year’s RF Electronics experience, as well as GROL License or equivalent.
- Requires computer skills at a functioning proficiency
- Must pass a pre-employment background check & Drug Screen.
- Must have a valid US Driver’s license.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
