Assistant Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an Assistant Maintenance Technician to work within our facility by providing support throughout the branch. This position responsibilities will vary depending on the branch’s need and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and develop new skills while working within an advanced technical environment. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Work Schedule: Friday - Monday (7:00am - 5:30pm) 10-hour workday.
Salary: $24.00 @ hr.
- Perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing and security.
- Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair / maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
- Assist with construction project management.
- Maintain records and prepare reports (cost analysis, proposals, etc.).
- Support CTDI’s sustainability initiatives
- Work with all levels of management to define and prioritize work flow.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drywall, boilers, as well as grounds maintenance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues
- Turn projects around in a timely and efficient manner
Required Experience
- 5 years of experience with building management and/or maintenance.
- Experience working with outside vendors and contractors a plus
- Commercial electrical experience preferred.
- Experience with automatic conveyor maintenance/repair is a plus.
