Coordinate quality control activities to ensure compliance with standards and specifications, while facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and upkeep of the organizations quality systems.
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization and product enhancement in support of maintain continuous process improvement.
- Conduct qualification tests and utilize statistical techniques to create charts.
- Ability to effectively communicate and transfer knowledge to others, utilizing various training methods and techniques to ensure understanding and proficiency.
- Coordinate with various departments to resolve quality issues and enhance overall product quality.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection roles, or an equivalent experience.
- Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
- Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Knowledge of computer programs for entering data, including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
- Previous experience in quality control or inspection roles.
- Ability to guide team members towards achieving organizational goals.
- Time-management skills.
- Eagerness for continuous learning.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment.
- The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
- The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
- The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary
