Position Overview
The Site Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Communities In Schools (CIS) model of integrated student services and overseeing the planning and management of site operations. This role requires collaboration with school administrators, staff, and community partners to support student success.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplementation of the CIS Model
- Establish and lead a site team that collaborates with school administrators, teachers, and community partners. The team may include CIS staff, volunteers, and school personnel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school staff and the community while engaging volunteers to deliver services.
- Create an individualized action plan for each student and family to ensure they have the resources necessary to overcome school engagement challenges and persist in their academic pathway.
- Coordinate targeted interventions aimed at reengaging students and ensuring student achievement.
- Conduct an annual needs assessment using school data, surveys, and input from staff, students, and parents.
- Develop and implement a site plan with measurable objectives, outlining school-wide and targeted services, progress monitoring, and evaluation methods.
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of evidence-based services, ensuring accessibility for all students and targeted support for at-risk students.
- Continuously monitor and adjust services to maximize effectiveness.
- Evaluate program success by tracking school-wide and individual student progress.
- Prepare and submit annual reports to school and CIS leadership, contributing to planning and funding initiatives.
Qualifications
To successfully perform this job, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or a related field OR demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Experience in nonprofit organizations.
- Minimum two years of experience working with school-age youth.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret educational data, professional literature, and regulations.
- Experience in developing and evaluating student support programs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Cultural competence and respect for diversity.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to facilitate and lead groups effectively.
- Proficiency with technology for data collection and reporting.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and fingerprinting.
- Must be able to reliably commute to worksite location, before the start date.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
- Benefits: Paid time off. (No additional benefits offered.)
- Sick and Personal Days given upon hire.
- Vacation Days available after 1 year of employment, in addition to Paid Sick and Personal Days
