TITLE: Site Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

WORK SCHEDULE: 30 hours/week, Monday - Friday (during school year only)

PAY RATE: $14/hr. (will be paid for hours worked only, no PTO or holiday pay)

LOCATION: Richmond, IN

RESPONSIBILITIES / RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Develop annual site-plan for delivery of services in partnership school faculty and building level partners.
  • Convene partners and service providers on a regular basis to develop strategies and monitor outcomes.
  • Monitor agreements with service providers and volunteers to assure that students, families, schools and partners fully benefit.
  • Gather, enter, and analyze student and family data for individual and program evaluation
  • Provide requested data at specified times to CISWC and/or school principal. This is required on a monthly basis.
  • Work within allotted hours provided during the 10 month agreement with CISWC, be able to manage time appropriately and not exceed hours, violation of this could result in termination.
  • Serve as a liaison for communication between CISWC, school, students, families, agencies, and community, including Site-Advisory Committee.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required to protect student and family rights to privacy.
  • Connect targeted students with supportive services so that they can succeed in school and graduate high school.

Basic Intervention: (weekly/monthly contact)

  • Share general information with student about monitoring system
  • Provide regular feedback to the student about progress at school
  • Regularly discuss staying in school and emphasizing accurate associated benefits
  • Problem solve with student about risk factors

Intensive Intervention: (High risk such as suspension from school or failing classes)

Contact student daily (phone calls to ensure students are coming to school if needed)

Develop Individualized Student Support Plan

  • Determine risk factors
  • Identify strengths/existing support systems,
  • Connect with appropriate support systems,
  • Follow-up participation in referral services,
  • Document student outcomes-(attendance, behavior, academic performance.)

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must be persistent, believe that all students have abilities, be able to work closely with families using a “non-blaming approach,” advocate for students, and be committed to documenting interventions and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • The ability to work comfortably with a broad range of individuals from business, public and private sector organizations, education, community organizations, parent groups, and local government required.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of youth and diverse ethnic populations. High-level interpersonal and communication skills a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and capacity to handle multiple tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily.

  • Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or demonstrated relevant equivalent in social services, education or related field.
  • Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, school personnel, parents, and community partners.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to utilize internet communication through email, use electronic data management systems, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create reports.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Licenses/Certification: Current driver’s license.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
