What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County?
On call positions working in our Head Start Programs. Cook will prepare and serve nutritious hot meals appropriate for children, parents and staff in Children’s Services Program. Approximately 80-120 meals a day.
Position starts out between $16.00 - $17.00 per hour and will earn sick leave.
REQUIRES: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Two years’ experience as a kitchen helper with CAC or comparable experience in food preparation for groups required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer knowledge. Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance with ability to qualify for coverage under Agency insurance plan. Must obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Current or former Head Start parent highly desired.
