What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weatherization Crew Worker position at Community Action Council, Inc.?
JOB PURPOSE : Weatherization Crew Workers are passionate and skilled professionals which work to deliver health and safety improvements and bill savings to households through performing energy-saving upgrades.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
General weatherization duties.
Care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Care and maintenance of assigned vehicles.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge of and the ability to use basic carpentry skills.
Knowledge of all tools and equipment required to perform the assigned duties.
Must be able to follow instructions, written and oral.
Must be able to do heavy work on high levels (on a ladder / roof).
Must be able to sit / stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift heavy tools and materials.
Must be able to work alone or in a group.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Must be able to complete all required training.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
EDUCATION : High School or GED equivalent (required)
