DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
May include the following:
- Assists the Family Advocate to support their delivery of comprehensive case management.
- Approaches communication with children, parents, staff, and community with the intent to preserve relationships.
- Assists in Center operations with the guidance of the Family Advocate and Site Supervisor.
- In coordination with the Family Advocate, assist with transporting following agency procedures.
- Assists in maintaining child's files.
- Reports all suspected child abuse to the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252- 5400 and following agency policy and procedures.
- Assures confidentiality is maintained at all times.
General Indicators:
- Submits time sheets accurately and on time to supervisor.
- Submits mileage accurately and on time to supervisor.
- Attends all staff and other meetings as assigned.

- Maintains confidentiality: records, client services, and staff.

REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
- 1-year experience working in a social service environment that required communicating with clients
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in both Spanish and English
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift 25-30 pounds.
Other Requirements:
- Daily access to transportation.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License-Class C.
- Vehicle insurance (personal injury and liability).
- Must be flexible with hours.
- Initial Health Exam required for all Head Start staff at the agency’s expense.
- Initial and annual TB screening are required for all Head Start staff at the agency's expense.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
