YOUR IMPACT AS: Daily CDL Driver
As a Driver for Second Harvest Foodbank, you will have the opportunity to operate a variety of vehicles while supporting our mission to fight hunger in the community. Your role will involve not just transporting food, but also building positive relationships with our partner agencies, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining the warehouse operations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Successful candidates for the Driver position at Second Harvest Food Bank possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License and at least 6 months of commercial driving experience in a Class B vehicle.
All our Drivers must exhibit excellent customer service skills and be able to engage with a diverse range of individuals with empathy and professionalism. Being able to understand and promote the community mission of SHFB and CACLV is crucial, along with basic computer and phone technology proficiency. Strong communication skills, basic arithmetic abilities, and the capacity to lift to 70lbs are also essential to success in this role.
Additionally, candidates must be willing to work in various weather conditions, lift heavy loads, and pass necessary certifications within specified timeframes. Adaptability, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and food handling protocols are key traits we're looking for in our ideal candidate.
