Community Action Lehigh Valley is seeking a dynamic Deputy Executive Director for Finance and Administration to join our mission-driven leadership team!


YOUR IMPACT AS:
DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead the fiscal operations that empower our programs to thrive. From overseeing multi-entity budgets and ensuring compliance with financial standards to advising on strategic decisions, your expertise will guide our nonprofit to sustainable success. You will collaborate across teams, build vital partnerships, and ensure operational excellence to support our mission of improving lives in the Lehigh Valley.

  • Lead and enhance the financial strategy, budgeting processes, and reporting for Community Action Lehigh Valley and its subsidiaries.
  • Provide day-to-day fiscal leadership and develop innovative systems to maintain operational integrity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, funders, auditors, and community partners.
  • Oversee property, asset, and risk management for the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

To excel in this role, you bring a robust background in nonprofit financial management and a passion for community impact. Your expertise includes fund accounting, financial analysis, budget preparation, and strategic decision-making. With excellent communication and leadership skills, you inspire teams and stakeholders alike to work toward shared goals.

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (Master's preferred)
  • 5-10 years of nonprofit financial leadership required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel and a strong command of financial systems and compliance.
  • Certifications: CPA preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical, detail-oriented, and a strategic thinker who thrives in collaborative environments.
