Clinical Program Director
Reporting to the VP of Behavioral Health and Training, this role will collaborate closely with agency leadership to address referrals and community needs. The Clinical Program Director will be responsible for guiding behavioral health strategy and service delivery in alignment with CAM's mission and its commitment to racial and economic justice. This position will support program development and the implementation of mental health consultations and interventions for children, individuals, and families, many from historically marginalized communities.
The Clinical Program Director will work with cross-agency leadership to enhance the understanding of mental health risk and protective factors within the community and CAM’s staff. This role will promote employee well-being through access to training and learning opportunities, the facilitation of workshops and groups, and participation in other organizational well-being strategies. Additionally, this role will serve as the lead supervisor for clinical interns and contribute to building organizational capacity as a training center for practicum and associate internships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clinical Strategy & Design:
- Ensure compliance with Head Start, Board of Behavioral Sciences, and other regulations.
- Analyze service needs and define the scope of work for individuals, children, and families.
- Review clinical data, enhance service delivery, and ensure cultural responsiveness.
- Identify staff training needs and ensure clinical interventions meet expected outcomes.
- Utilize data systems to improve clinical effectiveness and promote a culture of learning.
- Clinical Supervision:
- Provide individual and group supervision for practicum and associate interns.
- Create learning opportunities and conduct reflective supervision.
- Coordinate with schools and institutions on learning agreements and evaluations.
- Clinical Services:
- Lead the mental health team and support staff development.
- Conduct assessments and design interventions based on community needs.
- Manage case assignments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Implement risk assessment and crisis response protocols.
- Provide referrals and community service follow-ups.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Licensed in California (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) with 2 years of clinical supervision eligibility.
- 5 years of mental health experience and 2 years of leadership experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Expertise in mental health, trauma-informed practices, and family systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships, manage time, and lead clinical strategy using data.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Must pass background checks and health screenings.
Work Schedule:
- Onsite 3 days/week, with 2 remote days possible.

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
