Job Summary: The Workforce Development Coordinator is a critical role within Community Action Marin’s (CAM) Economic Justice Department, responsible for implementing workforce development related programming. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating across the agency to identify, recruit and orient potential workforce development participants. They will lead in communicating with service providers, training facilitators and participants, hosting and facilitating educational sessions and facilitating capacity building opportunities for participants. At the agency level, the Coordinator will work closely with the Workforce Manager and Learning and Evaluation team to ensure that high quality data and monitoring activities inform impact, adaptation and innovation. Workforce programs are currently focused on early care and education, including Early Care & Education Pathways to Success (ECEPTS) and Family Child Care (FCC) network. The agency will embed additional workforce pathways into this portfolio of work based on community feedback and funding availability.
Primary Responsibilities
Program Coordination

Develop and maintain detailed workplans and program management documents, including process flowcharts, logical frameworks, procurement plans, training schedules, etc.

Collaborate with the Workforce Manager and Learning and Evaluation team to develop and integrate monitoring and evaluation activities into program components, including intake forms, pre/post-tests and learning questions.

Host regular meetings with key project implementation team members, including the Workforce Manager and employer and training partners to ensure the program is on time and on scope.
Cross-Agency Coordination

Coordinate with CAM directors and managers to recruit existing CAM participants and new participants into workforce development programming, including attending monthly and quarterly meetings as required.
Participant Onboarding, Training & Supportive Services

Co-develop a comprehensive outreach plan for participant recruitment.

Develop outreach materials for recruitment and orientation, ensuring alignment with CAM’s branding and providing translation of materials into Spanish.

Co-develop eligibility criteria for program participation and facilitate screening and selection of final participants.

Create and maintain standard filing system for each participant, including participant-level demographics, evaluations, transcripts, certifications, service uptake, etc.

Host information sessions and orientation events with participants and other key stakeholders.

Connect and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment around workplan activities and measurable outcomes and course correct as necessary. Develop annual training schedule, including monthly workshops and training events.

Organize trainings and workshops, including identifying and coordinating with facilitators and organizing required venues, learning materials, evaluations, etc.

Facilitate workshops for participants to enhance their soft skills, technical skills, and workforce preparedness.

Coordinate regular check-ins with program participants, serving as the primary point of contact and sharing communication updates.

Connect participants to supportive services and optimize their training experience, including coordinating regular site visits and strength-based coaching services.

Develop training pre/post-tests aligned with CAM’s internal learning agenda.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in education, child development or social services fields or equivalent work experience.

Bilingual (English / Spanish) oral and written required.

2 years' experience implementing a social services, small business development or workforce development programs.

Knowledge of best practices and standards in workforce development, i.e. familiarity with Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act eligibility and services (desirable).

Experience with supervising or mentoring adults.

Advanced computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and case management systems.

Experience working with individuals of low-income, immigrants, and those who are unhoused, disabled, formerly incarcerated, and others who face significant employment barriers.

Deep understanding – and ability to articulate – the role equity, inclusion, and diversity plays in our work.

Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
