Community Action Head Start is looking for a friendly Operations Assistant to join our team at our K Street Center. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, welcoming, and informative entry into the Head Start Center. Our Operations Assistant also supports front office operations including billing, purchasing and monitoring of supplies, maintenance and custodial requests/needs, and data entry/support.
Starting Pay: $16.36/hour with $1,000 TRAINING INCENTIVE
This position is part time, 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday 12:45pm-5:45pm.
The Role:
Ensure safe, secure yet welcoming passage into the center.
Support front desk communications.
Serve as an initial point of communication with families, public and partners, as well as a resource for information and support for site management and staff.
Ensure timely and professional response to all phone and in-person inquiries.
Guide visitors to appropriate people, places and resources.
Ensure accurate and timely information is available at front desk and throughout public and staff work areas.
Assist in the billing of clients
Support with general data management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn and become proficient in the use of other management software required.
- Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language required.
- One to two years’ experience in non-profit work, front-line with families/public preferred.
