Position Summary: Weatherization Crew Workers install energy saving materials in low-to-moderate income client's homes.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of all required weatherization materials in accordance with Agency and funding source standards.
- Accountable for the quality and quantity of all materials installed on units.
- Must attend all required meetings and training sessions.
- Must complete EPA Certified Lead Renovator training at the first available opportunity (provided through the agency).
Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic construction knowledge preferred but will train the right person.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
- Ability to crawl, stoop, stand, and bend to perform required weatherization measures.
- Ability to work in varying conditions with exposure to any or all of the following either indoors or outdoors: heat, cold, dust, dirt, heights and confined spaces.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours a week, M-Th. 10-hour day shifts, no weekends or Holidays! This is a great job opportunity for individuals who enjoy having a 3-day weekend! Daily travel around the Kearney area is frequent, transportation is provided. Some occasional overnight travel is required, transportation and per diem is provided.
Pay: Starting pay is $21.50 an hour; with the value of benefits added, the approximate wage value calculates to $27.52 an hour! Raises available after 90 and 180 days of employment. Weatherization Crew Workers are also eligible for incentive pay of up to $100 per month if production targets for that month are achieved!
