Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Mid-wife.
- Current Medical License.
- California State Dispensing Certification preferred or eligibility for State dispensing number.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid California Driver’s License, reliable insured vehicle, and acceptable driving record.
- Conduct comprehensive medical histories and follow-up assessments.
- Counsel patients on contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and menopausal issues.
- Perform physical exams and screenings for thyroid, heart, lungs, and more.
- Insert and remove intrauterine devices and subdermal contraceptive implants.
- Recognize and manage gynecologic and non-gynecologic conditions.
- Provide patient education on self-breast exams, birth control, medications, and Hormone Replacement Therapy.
- Collaborate with Case Managers for patient referrals and follow-up plans.
- Educate patients on nutrition, exercise, and healthy practices.
- Attend Medical Quality Assurance (QA) and clinic staff meetings.
- Assist with QA projects and training of new staff.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety practices.
- Uphold CAPSLO’s mission, strategic goals, and performance measures.
