GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities will include Low-income Weatherization and for-profit work. He/she will be responsible for performing energy audits, identifying and developing work and submitting two plus Weatherization work orders per week and to monitor all jobs within their own pipeline.  This position requires a self-starter with initiative who can work independently as well as within a team.  

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED
  • BPI Building Analyst certification or the ability to obtain one through our training program within 120 days
  • Be able to climb ladders; work in attics and other confined areas
  • Mid-level computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Be able to use a phone, computer and other office equipment
  • Be able to work outside in all weather
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs., perform some physical labor

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Trade School, HVAC or Experience in Residential Construction
  • Experience working in the energy field
  • Any working knowledge of framing, light carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing and electrical technologies
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, Excel)
  • Experience using TREAT energy modeling software
  • Experience working within the NHSaves program
  • OSHA10, OSHA30, RRP or any other trade certifications helpful

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Identify suitable weatherization jobs through use of worklists, prior heating jobs and client inquiries
  • Prioritize jobs based on demographics, energy burden, energy indexing, location and other factors
  • Identify WAP RF and CDBG opportunities
  • Concentrate on high-value sites where energy burdens are high
  • Assemble weatherization complete weatherization files including handouts, usage and other forms
  • Schedule audits, communicate with clients, complete audits in a timely fashion
  • Audit clients’ homes to determine conservation work needed as well as health & safety and repair needs. 
  • Provide client education about heating conservation, electric base load usage and health & safety
  • Install CO/smoke detectors where necessary
  • Provide detailed photo documentation of audit including all installed measures
  • Perform CAZ testing, heating system testing, blower door testing, spillage testing
  • Complete energy audits in accordance with NH Weatherization Field Guide and the SWS
  • Complete all necessary file paperwork including BTDIS, HEA form, SHIPO, etc
  • Complete detailed work orders and coordinate with TREAT and COMPASS for approvals
  • Enter and maintain client data in the Jobs Log
  • Request Environmental Reviews from Dover and Rochester
  • Schedule, supervise and assist crews with implementing weatherization measures
  • Identify, spec. out and inspect any subcontracted work (primarily heating system improvements)  
  • Coordinate with contractors, monitor progress of jobs in progress, conduct in-process inspections
  • Monitor incoming invoices as progress indicators, analyze invoices for accuracy
  • Complete final inspections, obtain necessary client signatures, complete paperwork
  • Perform minor repairs in the course of final weatherization inspections
  • Assemble final file and check for accuracy, signatures, etc.
  • Verify the weatherization file is complete and meets agency requirements
  • Perform heating system inspections, answer no-heat calls, take before and after pictures for documentation
  • Identify weatherization opportunities at no-heat calls
  • Maintain agency vehicles and other tools and equipment
  • Monitor tool and equipment inventory
  • Monitor CO inventory
  • Monitor equipment calibrations
  • Monitor vehicle inspection stickers for up to date
  • Attend meetings, participate in trainings
  • Train crew members and junior auditing staff
  • Monitor and maintain all required certifications (BPI BA, EA, QCI)
  • Maintain good working relations with funders, utilities and customers and crew
  • Other tasks as may be assigned

  EMPLOYMENT SCREENING

Valid Driver's License and insured vehicle (100/300 minimum coverage) for use on the job or acceptable alternative, driving record check, criminal record check, randomized drug screening.
