Area Agency on Aging: Outreach and Education Specialist

The Outreach and Education Specialist for the Area Agency on Aging plays a vital role in promoting awareness of aging services, programs, and resources within the community. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing outreach initiatives and educational programs aimed at older adults, caregivers, and service providers.

Job Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver outreach and educational activities
• Provide one-on-one assistance and referrals
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups.
• Collect and report suspected Medicare fraud and abuse cases to appropriate channels
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers

We are looking for:

Hours: Full time/ Monday to Friday

Wage: $17-18.50 (DOE)

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prefer experience working in customer service and some office experience
