What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meals on Wheels Driver position at Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties?
**Job Type:** Part-time
We are a private non-profit organization committed to combating poverty. Our legacy dates back to the 1960s, and we manage over 70 programs designed to support those in need.
You will join a team of passionate individuals motivated to strengthen our community's resilience.
**Hours:** Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week
**Position Summary:** Deliver meals and wellness checks to senior citizens and eligible adults in a friendly and timely manner.
**Program Responsibilities:
- Pick up meals from the program site and assist with meal packing if requested.
- Deliver meals courteously and on time.
- Report safety, environmental, or social service needs to the supervisor.
- Clean and maintain food delivery equipment as required.
- Maintain a sanitary environment in the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate route slips and communicate changes to the supervisor verbally and in writing.
- Distribute and collect donation envelopes weekly, unless otherwise directed.
- Accurately maintain up-to-date meal counts.
- Attend scheduled training and monthly driver meetings.
- Complete accurate timesheets and odometer sheets.
- Adhere to policies and protocols outlined in the Meals on Wheels Handbook, particularly regarding personal safety, client safety, and food safety.

- Maintain adequate knowledge of all CAPBM programs to make referrals to other beneficial programs.

- Present a professional image as a representative of CAPBM.
- Follow established policies and procedures and comply with safety requirements.
- Communicate proactively with the supervisor regarding workflow, problems, suggestions, etc.
- Contribute to a positive team-oriented work environment and attend team meetings as scheduled.
- Be punctual for scheduled work, use time appropriately, and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal errors.

- Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation for required travel.
