Head Start program is seeking individuals for Teacher Aide positions in multiple locations. All potential employees must undergo and pass a federal background check with fingerprints.
Head Start is a comprehensive school readiness program that offers high quality education for children age 3 – Kindergarten. Teachers team teach and have access to mentor teachers, a host of staff, and support personnel with expertise in health, mental health, child development, and disabilities. Classrooms have low student to teacher ratios and classrooms are well appointed. By partnering with parents, teachers further the developmental progress of children, assist parents with the challenges faced in parenting young children, and help parents prepare their children for school success.
The Teacher Aide will assist the Lead Teacher in providing a stimulating and comprehensive learning environment for preschool children, and assist children throughout the day with appropriate activities.
The typical work schedule for the Teacher Aide is Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
Acceptable Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or GED, and experience (formal or informal) with young children
- Reliable automobile, valid driver's license and liability insurance
- Physical and TB screening will be required upon hire
These positions are full time, full year (40 hours per week). Benefits are comprehensive and generous:
