Job Summary
We are seeking a Mental Health Aide to join our team! The Mental Health Counseling Aide plays a vital role in supporting clients' mental and emotional well-being. Under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals, the aide provides compassionate care, assistance with therapeutic activities, and ensures a safe and welcoming environment for individuals receiving services and the completion of all treatment and assessments plans. This position is ideal for those passionate about making a meaningful impact in mental health care.

Responsibilities
- MHCA will work in schools and homes to meet with clients, students and family.
- Have some experience in early childhood, advocacy, case management, and behavioral health.
- MHCA demonstrate enthusiasm about helping children youth, and family’s success in their educational, emotional and family goals
- Work collaboratively and effectively with treatment team and contribute to care planning.
- Assist clients in therapeutic and wellness activities, including group sessions, workshops, and completion of assessments, surveys and counseling information forms.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Assist students, youth and families in the completion of all assessments, track treatment plan completions and assist in accessing resources and services.
- MHCA will monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed by the therapist and assist in implementing changes as needed
- MHCA will provide ongoing support to the student, youth and family via phone, zoom, or in person.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of daily interactions and observations.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma, associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Passion for mental health and trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to client needs.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a mental health, social services, or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
- Mental Health First Aid or de-escalation training.
Salary : $22 - $24
