Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? CEDA is seeking an IT Support Specialist – AV to support and maintain our agency’s computer systems, software, phones, and audiovisual/multimedia equipment.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in IT helpdesk support and AV production, who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges while supporting a diverse staff. You’ll be a key player in keeping our hybrid work environment running smoothly—whether it's managing a Zoom meeting, troubleshooting a laptop, or setting up video for a training session.
Essential Functions
- Serve as frontline support for all IT helpdesk requests; escalate as needed.
- Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain agency hardware/software, including AV and media systems.
- Manage and document helpdesk tickets using tracking software.
- Assist in Office 365 and Active Directory/Azure administration under supervision.
- Operate and support AV equipment including video cameras, audio mixers, graphics generators, and editing tools.
- Capture, edit, and manage digital media using asset management software.
Conduct regular AV software and firmware updates.
Support internal and external AV events, including training sessions, webinars, and conferences.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of AV technologies and IT systems (hardware, networking, and support tools).
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows/Mac environments, Office 365, Active Directory, TCP/IP, Zoom, Teams, and SharePoint.
Familiarity with digital media production software (graphics, encoding, editing).
Ability to multitask across various systems and user needs while delivering excellent customer service.
Strong communication skills—able to explain technical issues to both tech and non-tech users.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ensuring that AV hardware and software is prepared to meet the needs of the organization
- Offering plans and advice for live audio and video events, including broadcasts, conferences, webinars, training events, etc.
- Operating the master controls of AV systems during events as needed
- Conduct regular updates and upgrades to software and firmware on AV-designated equipment
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2 years of IT Helpdesk experience.
- 2 years of Customer Service experience.
- 2 years of Audio/Visual equipment support experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working in a nonprofit setting.
- CompTIA certification is a plus
- Associate’s Degree in computing and digital media technology.
