What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Assistant Teachers Needed position at Community and Family Head Start?
Job Summary
CPI Community and Family Head Start is looking for two (2) experienced Assistant Teachers with either a CDA, an Associate’s Degree in ECE, or a Bachelor’s Degree in ECE. The candidates must have or be willing to obtain their NYS Level 1 Assistant Teacher certification, DASA training, and the School Violence training. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic, friendly, patient and nurturing team player. The candidate should possess good organizational skills and communication skills. The candidate must be able to work in a busy, active environment. The candidate should be willing to initiate activities and share ideas. The candidate must be able to work in person, in Far Rockaway, NY, from 8:00am-4:00pm. A minimum of two (2) years of paid teaching experience in an early child care setting is preferred. Experience planning lessons and activities is a plus. Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Gold Online is a plus. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
