Description
CAMS, Community Association Management Services, a local HOA management company, is looking for a full-time 40-hour-per-week Maintenance Technician Assistant, an energetic self-starter who works well under minimal supervision for work on-site at a condominium complex in North Topsail Island, NC.
Hours of Work Required:
- 40 hours per week plus
- Peak Season: 7:00am - 4:00am - Monday - Saturday, with alternating Saturdays
- Off Peak Season: 7:00am - 4:00pm - Monday - Friday
- On-Call Duties when emergencies arise (shared responsibility)
Description
Perform general maintenance/projects as assigned by the head technician and assist in overseeing contractors/vendors in the community.
Responsibilities
• Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Control inventory and management of supplies needed in the community for upkeep
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the physical integrity of the property, amenities, and grounds
• Ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors
• Anticipate, identify, and correct problems involving the property
• Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors
• Must be able to generate and perform checklists for ongoing maintenance necessities
• Follow up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality customer service
Requirements
• The position requires at least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to move up and down stairs and the grounds frequently and stand for long periods of time
• Attendance and punctuality are essential
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
• Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed
• Must be able to respond to emergencies promptly when on-call
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems
• Must have general construction knowledge including but not limited to light sheetrock repairs and painting
• Must have general knowledge of swimming pool operation (Obtain CPO certification within 6 months of employment if not already certified)
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, lift heavy objects, and climb ladders of varying heights
• Carpentry skills
• Must have basic computer skills to input and complete work orders

The pay for this role is $15.00-18.00 hourly
