Job Summary:
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and durability of all flooring surfaces throughout the building. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpet Maintenance: Perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and stain removal to maintain a fresh and professional appearance.
- Tile and Hard Floor Care: Clean, wax, buff, and strip tile and hard surface floors to maintain a polished and well-kept look, following proper safety procedures and using the appropriate equipment.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Use and maintain floor care machines such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Housekeeping Support: Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed, including dusting, mopping, and sanitizing common areas.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, using proper protective equipment and cleaning products in accordance with facility policies and industry standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure all floor care needs are met efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in floor care or housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of floor maintenance techniques, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and operate floor care equipment as required.
