Responsibilities
This position is responsible to supervise a team in reviewing and evaluating all residential loan closings and ensuring quality control levels are met and maintained. Leads with thorough knowledge of all laws and regulations such as TILA-RESPA, HMDA, Escrow as well as company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise the closing team in the Mortgage Processing Department
- Ensure staff works efficiently and keeps production standards in line
- Analyze information in Encompass to create an electronic loan file for all mortgage products offered by consumer real estate loan products
- Prepares and issues all required closing documents in compliance with various regulations
- Coordinate with lenders/attorneys to complete accurate documents
- Provide guidance to lenders regarding procedures required to take action on problem loan applications
- Assist in training of other team members
- Review and approve timecards
- Complete regular check-ins/performance evaluations with direct reports as well as be involved with disciplinary actions
- Interview and select new employees
- Prepare and review various reports
- Ensure all department procedures are accurate, up to date and being followed
- Other jobs and duties as directed
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
Ancillary Duties:
- Cooperates with other members of department to achieve department goals. Cooperates with employees of other departments to provide quality service, solve problems and achieve bank goals.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- Associates Degree in business management or equivalent mortgage processing experience required
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Skills:
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Research and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze and interpret income, assets, and credit
- Ability to work under pressure and work effectively under time constraints
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be comfortable supervising, mentoring and conducting trainings
- Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values; integrity, excellence, teamwork, and humility
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of Mortgage and supervisory experience preferred
Other Job Information
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00, overtime and Saturdays as required
Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
