Responsibilities
The Outsourced Partner Solutions division of Nottingham Financial Group (NFG) leverages the wealth management, benefits administration, and retirement plan consulting capabilities of the Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) family of companies to offer turnkey, a la carte services to advisors and trustees.
The Director of Nottingham Operations plays a crucial role within the Outsourced Partner Solutions division of Nottingham Financial Group. This individual will be responsible for the onboarding, training and orientation of new financial partner relationships for Nottingham Financial Group. This includes outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) services, outsourced trust services (OTS), Outsourced Retirement Plan Consulting (ORPC), the Nottingham Express IRA program, and other value-added services that NFG sells through RIAs, trust companies and other financial intermediaries. The individual in this role will create the process for all of these services, including tools, marketing and sales pieces, pricing and agreements, websites, training videos, FAQs and product guides, conversion methodology, fee disclosures, proposals and other materials, and will oversee the onboarding of new FI partners until they are using various NFG services directly (in conference with Director of Nottingham Sales and other senior leadership team members across NFG and BPAS). This will involve collaboration with many other professionals throughout Nottingham Financial Group and BPAS to ensure optimal success. After the role and process is established, this individual will also assist the sales team in securing new relationships, then manage the onboarding process. This may include others in the implementation team in the future, if warranted by business growth.
- Strategic Alignment: aligning Outsourced Partner Solutions project initiatives with its strategic plan, ensuring that projects support business goals.
- Risk Assessment: They assess risks and identify conflicts or inefficiencies between existing or proposed projects.
- Leadership: fostering a collaborative culture across silos.
- Competency Development: Ensuring project-management competencies are developed throughout NFG.
This role bridges the gap between strategy and execution, driving successful project outcomes.
Essential Duties:
- Work with all families of business under the CFSI umbrella to help support partner solutions and to bring all divisions together through an internal referral/collaboration process.
- Communicate with Financial Intermediaries, internal partners and clients to implement each new relationship and provide necessary research, problem solving and resolution support during onboarding process.
- Successfully monitor and follow-up on items and implementation timeline, seeing tasks through to resolution and closure.
- Communicate with all internal departments to provide answers to FI and partner questions when required.
- Recommend and implement new processes, approaches and solutions as identified.
- Assess opportunities for workflow efficiencies and develop alternative procedures and automation techniques.
- Work with appropriate groups on a continual basis to evaluate and refine existing policies and procedures.
- Having the vision to determine what tools, processes, technology and materials are needed to optimize this role, then working with MARCOM and others to build such materials to facilitate future relationships (similar to the BPAS Partner Toolbox).
- Work with MARCOM and Compliance teams to ensure the creation, review and deployment of marketing, education, and collateral pieces to help build the business.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or another related field. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills: Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; excellent computer, analytical and organizational skills; Must have good customer service and the ability to work well with others; and solid project management skills. Must have knowledge of the wealth management industry and a sharp attention to detail.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 15 years in the wealth management industry with a strong knowledge of the industry.
