Position Summary :
The Senior Closer is primarily responsible for performing a variety of loan processing and closing functions, ensuring quality loan documentation and adherence to banking regulations,7 CFR Part 5001, and Bank policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for assessing satisfaction of approved credit requirements as well as recognizing and proactively resolving problems in the closing process to ensure accuracy and completion of all necessary loan documents. Additionally, this position will also collaborate with the credit department, clients, attorneys and brokers throughout the loan process. This is a high-level staff position which includes authority to approve loan funding initiatives.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Prepare, process, document, close, and fund Loans in accordance with Bank’s credit policy.
- Review and verify all applicable loan documentation.
- Review and analyze credit approval conditions while working closely with outside counsel in preparing the Closing Checklist and guiding the customer through the closing process.
- Review and approve all required documentation including purchase agreements, corporate documents, lease agreements, landlord subordinations, vehicle titles, etc. as required for the loan.
- Gather and review construction AIA contract, final budget, plans, specifications, builder’s risk insurance, permits, etc. for construction and leasehold improvement projects.
- Process disbursements according to the loan approval and adherence to the Conditional Committement and Attachment A, including proper documentation collection, equity verification, and draw process as well as communicate any deficiencies to the Closing Manager.
- Use pre- and post-closing checklists to verify loan to approval and approval. Work with post-close audit review to resolve any packaging / closing / disbursement issues.
- Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the various programs
- Maintain a work area which ensures the safety and confidentiality of all customer records and transactions.
- Understand and comply with Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policies and Procedures.
- Confidently embody Community Bank & Trust – West Georgia’s values.
- Represent Community Bank & Trust – West Georgia in the community and at community events.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
