TITLE : Trust Officer
DEPARTMENT : Wealth Management / Trust
PAY GRADE & FLSA : Grade 8, Exempt
JOB SUMMARY :
The Trust Officer is responsible for business development, the management of client relationships, as well as administering assigned trust, agency and estate accounts. The Trust Officer will also work closely with the investment group to implement strategies in compliance with policies. This individual is expected to pursue and develop new relationships with clients, solicit new business from present and prospective clients, and cultivate internal and external referral sources and centers of influence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Develop new business and advise or consult with other officers on details of proposed plans.
- Represent the bank in business development activities and ongoing business activities through contacts with clients, attorneys and other centers of influence, as appropriate.
- Administer all aspects of assigned trust / investment accounts.
- Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations regarding trust and estate administration.
- Utilize financial planning process to develop investment objectives, provide ongoing advice and guidance to clients.
- Develop a strong knowledge of bank products / services in order to refer customers to the appropriate individuals for service and best client experience.
- Develop a presence in the community to build, expand, and leverage meaningful relationships.
- Invest in establishing a referral base with CBT’s target audience : legal, accounting, finance, commercial real estate, and insurance.
- Complete all required training and comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
