High School Bible Teacher

Position Overview

CBS is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School Bible Teacher who is committed to equipping students with a deep understanding of Scripture and a biblical worldview. Our school values strong academics, growing faith, and integrity, and we seek a teacher who will inspire students both intellectually and spiritually. The ideal candidate will be a strong believer in Jesus Christ, affirm our school’s doctrinal statement, and demonstrate a passion for Christian education.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging, biblically sound Bible courses to high school students (grades 9-12), covering Scripture, theology, apologetics, and Christian worldview formation.
• Develop and implement rigorous academic lesson plans that challenge students intellectually while fostering spiritual growth.
• Model Christian integrity and character, serving as a mentor and spiritual leader for students.
• Encourage critical thinking and biblical discernment in class discussions and assignments.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
• Assess student learning through assignments, projects, exams, and discussions, providing constructive feedback.
• Integrate faith and learning in ways that help students apply biblical truth to their lives.
• Partner with parents, faculty, and staff to support students academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
• Participate in school-wide activities such as chapel services, faculty meetings, and professional development.
• Encourage student involvement in discipleship, service, and Christian leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Spiritual & Doctrinal Requirements:
• A committed, mature Christian with a vibrant faith in Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with the school’s statement of faith and a dedication to biblical truth.
• A personal commitment to integrity, faithfulness, and discipleship.

• Educational & Professional Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong background in academics and biblical scholarship.
• Prior experience teaching Bible or theology in a Christian school, church, or ministry setting preferred.
• Ability to engage students in thoughtful discussion and biblical application.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to relate to high school students and challenge them intellectually and spiritually.
• Understanding of current cultural issues and the ability to provide a biblical perspective.
• Willingness to serve in extracurricular ministry opportunities such as chapel, mentorship, or service projects.
