Hourly Rate: $49,000/year
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Level 1 Licensing Supervisor, the coordinator is responsible for collecting, organizing, monitoring, and distributing information to complete Level I licensure for relative and non-relative families. This position ensures high quality standards for successful completion of Level 1 licensure through family engagement and support. The Level 1 Licensing Coordinator complies with regulatory requirements. Partners with families and coordinates with CMAs and operations teams to ensure compliance with eligibility and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Partner, Support and Coordinate with CMA and operations teams to ensure compliance with eligibility and regulatory standards in the completion of the Level 1 home studies.
- Engage and collaborate with caregivers and licensing team to complete the initial home study and in re-licensure activities.
- Assist the Licensing Supervisor in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Assists peer Licensing Coordinators with monitoring and data collection, and regulatory and eligibility activities, as needed.
- Conduct licensing file packet review for processing and issuance of license by DCF.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews of licensing files and document any findings.
- Partner with CMAs to ensure support and compliance throughout the licensure process. Examples include training, one-on-one assistance, or meetings.
- Ensure licensing packets for caregivers meet code requirements, licensing expiration and DCF submission requirements.
- Participate in DCF licensing reviews and other applicable monitoring such as monitoring reviews.
- Participates in creation and annual reviews of Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure all policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of care requirements.
- Participates in the agency strategic plan and quality improvement processes.
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistently and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to comply with all personnel policies and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Duties in other counties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of child welfare experience, experience in child placing licensing or appropriate knowledge of licensing and regulatory standards.
- Florida Child Welfare Certification
PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of state SACWIS/CCWIS systems; FSFN
- Knowledge of the current System of Care

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
- On-call assignments- YES
- Travel- local: 40% per week, long-distance: 5% per month
