What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Liaison Supervisor - Family Court position at Community Behavioral Health.?
The Behavioral Health Liaison Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Behavioral Health Liaisons (BHLs) as it relates to their respective functions at CBH and off-site locations. The Behavioral Health Liaison Supervisor coordinates the referral, admission, discharge and aftercare coordination process for assigned CBH members across various service systems.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, performance management, coaching, team building and succession planning.
- Review caseloads, provide guidance on cases as needed and ensure agency policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide case coverage as needed.
- Facilitate and participate in interagency team meetings with providers, members and other system personnel.
- Maintain and update member and provider information as necessary.
- Schedule and facilitate provider site visits to build a collaborative relationship and to ensure knowledge of community resources.
- Monitor monthly team data for continuity of operations
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
- License/Certification: PA Child Abuse Clearance required
- Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing direct service in the behavioral health field, preferably in a leadership role
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of adult and children’s behavioral health systems and all levels of care
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, and able to type at least 20 words per minute
- Ability to work independently
- Compliant with HIPAA regulations

Work Conditions (including travel, overtime required, physical requirements and occupational exposure):
- Must be able to travel within Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
- Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, and pulling and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
- Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
- Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
- Must be able to adapt to continuous changes/demands of the job.
Philadelphia Residency Requirement:
- The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
