CBH is hiring a Linux Administrator to help the organization maintain and support SUSE systems, ensuring high availability and performance. This position will also manage, monitor, and maintain Linux servers to ensure optimal performance. The Linux Administrator will have a solid understanding of Linux Technologies necessary for managing and maintaining Linux servers.

  • Assist in assuring both internal and external program integrity by being alert to and reporting suspected instances of provider and employee fraud, waste or abuse.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and support SUSE systems, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux servers to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Solid understanding of Linux Technologies is necessary for managing and maintaining Linux servers
  • Experience in Linux System Administration is essential for the overall system management
  • Design and implement scalable and robust system architectures.
  • Develop and enforce security best practices, including system hardening and patch management.
  • Lead system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs.
  • Develop and implement shell scripts, Python programs, and other scripting languages to automate tasks and processes
  • Design, develop, and deploy database schemas using SQL.
  • Write advanced SQL queries and commands to manage and analyze data.
  • 3 years of experience in Linux administration and development
  • Expertise in shell scripting, Python programming, and other scripting languages (Perl)
  • Advanced SQL skills, including database schema design and query optimization
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and Informix database management systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Backup Technologies is required to ensure data safety and recovery procedures

Position Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Linux servers. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience SQL experience
  • Familiar with scripting such as Powershell, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft’s ETL and Reporting solutions (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is required; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
