Our Immunohematology Reference Lab (IRL) team is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Technologist to join the team for an overnight position, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM, and includes on-call responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in blood banking and laboratory testing to support our mission of providing exceptional patient care around the clock.

Responsibilities
- Perform complex serologic testing, including antibody identification, antigen typing, and ABO/Rh testing.
- Acquire and manage antigen-negative and rare donor units to meet patient needs.
- Provide expert consultation and problem-solving support to hospital transfusion staff.
- Generate patient test results, maintain accurate laboratory records, and uphold quality standards.
- Participate in quality control, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Science, or a related field.
- ASCP certification required, or in process that must be completed within 6 months of hire, with preference given to candidates with significant blood banking experience (SBB certification preferred)
- 1-3 years blood bank laboratory experience preferred
- Must be able to effectively communicate using verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of Immunohematology/Transfusion Medicine
- Attention to detail; Must be able to confidently read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to solve problems and work independently within the scope of the tasks
- Ability to work with others in a team environment and individually
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
