Donor Specialist Job Description

The ideal day is traveling in a company vehicle to various work sites. The job duties are related to a Medical Assistant job where you perform vitals, review health histories. Paid on the job training, great benefits package and *$1,000 Sign on bonus available! The start date is January 27, 2025.
Full-Time Benefits:
- $500 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment
- $500 sign-on bonus after 1 year of employment
Starting pay: $17.00-$18.00 DOE

Hiring Schedule:
Monday-Friday schedule
Schedule after training completed: 10:30 - 6:30pm Monday - Thursday; 7:30am - 2:30pm Friday
Overtime available (paying double time for overtime. May be subject to change).
Paid travel time in a company vehicle
Training Schedule:
Must travel to the Springfield, Missouri CBCO headquarters Monday-Friday for up to 10 weeks (tentative time frame)
CBCO pays for the hotel room, meal allowance, and mileage reimbursement during training.
Blended learning in a classroom and mobile setting.
Availability needed 4:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Monday-Friday to schedule any shift during training.
CBCO training location: 220 W. Plainview Rd. Springfield, MO 65810 (Farm Rd. 182 is also correct)
Job Summary:
Perform donor selection and blood collection activities under the supervision of an on-site collections supervisor at fixed-sites and mobile operations (during training and as needed). All functions are performed in a manner that ensures maintenance of the donor’s well-being and the quality of the blood product while adhering to federal, state and local regulatory guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand continuously for a minimum of six hours.
Able to climb in and out of a van.
Able to lift 25-30 pounds.
Good hand and finger dexterity.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Job Specifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one year post-secondary education in a health-related field preferred.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
Must have valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record.
Able to comply with overnight travel schedule.
