Mobile Unit Operator Job Description
Monday-Friday
Availability needed 3:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. to schedule an 8-14 hour shift Monday-Friday.
Weekly overtime available (paying double time for overtime. May be subject to change).
Paid travel time in a company vehicle
Full-Time Benefits
$500 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment
$500 sign-on bonus after 1 year of employment
Starting pay: $18.00-$19.00 DOE

Duties And Responsibilities
Drives assigned vehicle to and from sites in a lawful and safe manner.
Loads, unloads and reloads equipment and supplies according to daily requirements.
Assumes responsibility for proper storage and handling of blood.
Responsible for the care and disposal of biohazardous material.
Performs paperwork related to daily operations.
Performs blood container labeling functions as assigned.
Assists collections staff with donor reactions.
Provide customer service and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Adheres to established dress code.
Assists with observational aspect of new MUO training at bloodmobile site.
Knowledgeable of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations and maintain log
books and related information accurately and completely.
Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.
Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiency within specific job tasks.
Assists with special projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Able to stand continuously for a minimum of six hours.
Able to climb in and out of truck cab and cargo box.
Hand and finger dexterity.
Able to load and unload all mobile equipment (approximately up to 100 pound range).
Visual and auditory acuity.
Job Specifications
Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
Prior experience in truck driving, or driving large vehicles.
Must have a current Missouri class E driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Must be 25 years old to be eligible for the company's auto. insurance policy.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Able to comply with overnight travel schedule and flexible working hours.
