Job Summary
The technician coordinator is primarily responsible for dispatching all service calls to the appropriate technician.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Review all incoming service emails and handle/dispatch accordingly
- Receive all incoming phone calls and handle/dispatch accordingly
- Compile and distribute the plan for the day
- Serve as a backup for processing PO’s and ordering parts
- Place/remove customers from test/no action status as they perform alarm testing
- Develop and update service technician handbook
- Attend weekly technician meeting to stay informed of issues
- Assist with special projects assigned by the Service Manager
- Assist with annual inventory count
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
Experience
- Prior experience in a dispatch position is preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in the banking industry is preferred, but not required
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
