Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Housekeeper to ensure high-quality cleaning standards throughout our facility. This position is vital in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and disinfecting.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor cleaners, and buffers.
- Maintain compliance with infection control policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist in preparing rooms for new residents and follow isolation procedures when necessary.
- Deliver linens and maintain organized supply areas.
- Treat residents with dignity and respect while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills for handling supplies and documentation.
- Previous long-term care experience preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift.
- Comfortable working with exposure to cleaning chemicals, infectious materials, and varying conditions.
- Capable of working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
