What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Community Care Hospital?
1. Routinely cleans patient rooms, nursing units, administrative offices, public areas and restrooms.
2. Using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, housekeepers wipe equipment, clean furniture, clean floors and vacuum carpets.
3. Empty trash and restock supplies.
4. Collect dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute the clean linen and scrubs back to the appropriate floors.
5. Take daily inventory as well as inspect equipment for any repairs or replacements.
6. Maintains log of work completed and chemicals used.
7. Attend in-service training and/or meetings.
8. Follow proper infection-control policies.
9. Other responsibilities and/or special projects as assigned/required.
VI. PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
1. Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
2. Complete annual education requirements.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
4. Report to work on time and as scheduled.
5. Wear identification while on duty.
6. Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
7. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
8. Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
9. Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
10. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Pay: $8.35 - $15.44 per hour
