Program Assistant/CNA, Full-Time, 1st Shift
Community Care is hiring a Program Assistant/CNA to join our team. This position is a full-time position at our Waukesha adult day center.
Program Assistant/CNA Job Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the assigned Day Center Supervisor or designee, is responsible for providing various care and services necessary for attending to the personal needs, recreational needs, support, and health status of Day Center attendees. This position has a huge focus on recreation and the program assistant will be running recreation activities. Personal Care & Restorative ServicesStays informed of member care plans and provides restorative and personal care and services as outlined on the plan of care. Member CareStays informed of member care plans, updates team on members including physical, emotional or behavioral changes, and recommends changes Recreation Programming - AssistantLeads and supervises group and individual activities, projects, and special events under the direction of the Recreation Specialists and/or designated supervisor. Assists in daily clean up of the recreation areas. Restorative ProgramsDelivers written restorative programs, including leading therapeutic exercise groups, and completes related documentation.
Program Assistant/CNA Job Requirements:
Required - A minimum of 1 year experience providing care or services for frail elderly and individuals with physical or developmental disabilities. - Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing on registry - CPR & AED
Preferred - Experience working with individuals with dementia.
Education - High School Diploma required, GED may be substituted for High School Diploma
Program Assistant/CNA Job Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, 40 hours per week
