Job summary:
Community Care Partners is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our mission of empowering adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support and assistance to participants in
their homes or within the community, focusing on promoting independence,
productivity, social engagement, and community inclusion. All services are
delivered in alignment with each participant's individualized service plan.

Essential Duties / Case Specifics:
- Provide transportation to and from the day program, and or the participant's workplace, or their home as needed.
- Encourage and support participants in demonstrating independence and maximizing their involvement in day-to-day activities.
- Assist with bed, chair, and other transfers as needed; lifting may be required.
- Preferred Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (may change) Note: Candidates may work multiple cases to achieve full-time hours.
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.75 (negotiable)
Position Type: Full-time / Part-time
Work Location:
- One-on-one support provided in the community, the participant's home, or their workplace, depending on the case.
- Ewing, NJ
Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
- Plan and participate in recreational activities chosen by the participant.
- Support participants in identifying and pursuing outside interests, hobbies, and events.
- Help develop, foster, and maintain relationships with family and friends.
- Encourage and promote independence while maximizing involvement in daily living skills through goal-directed and creative efforts.
- Assist with bed, chair, and other transfers as needed; lifting may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically capable of assisting with transfers, including bed, chair, and other transfers, and lifting participants who require physical assistance.
- Must be able to reach, bend, and engage in physical activities while assisting participants.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License (driving record not to exceed 5 points); proof of automobile insurance is required iftransporting participants.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must clear any State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database.
- CPR/First Aid certification. Applicants may apply without CPR/FA certification but must obtain it before starting the case.
- Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
