What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occ Med - Clinical Assistant position at Community Care Partners?
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, along with performing patient transfer, and discharge activities. Individuals in this role will be responsible for all releases of Occupational Medical charts, Medical Holds, Injury Management and / or referrals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ability to interact effectively, and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds
Sustain excellent patient interactions using clear communication and problem-solving skills
Assist with Providers on Medical Hold communication with patient and / or companies
Cover medical records and prior authorizations when needed for Occupational Medicine / Injured patients
Communicate efficiently to back-office staff regarding needs of patients
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times
Answer the phone in a professional manner and follow procedures for routing calls
Communicate with clients and insurance carriers on duty status and / or further treatment
1010 forms for Workers Comp
Understanding of all Occupational Medicine testing and charges for accurate billing at end of month
Scanning and releasing charts to the approved list per company protocols
Med Tech duties as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Certificate/License: None.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required.
