Our IT department is looking for a full time Systems Field Technician to join their team!
Summary:
Serve as the primary source for maintenance and deployment of end user devices. Document work history through the ticket system and makes recommendations for adjustments to procedures for process improvement. In support of the ticket system and service desk, respond to user requests for assistance in resolution of software, hardware and communication problems.
Resposibilities:
Responsible for the installation and configuration of end user devices. Develop and maintain a system for rapid deployment and replacement of equipment.
Conduct periodic maintenance programs to sustain the useful life of the assets. Make recommendations for replacement of equipment based on assessments.
Provide Service Desk support in first line problem identification and resolution. Triage problems to the appropriate internal resource when necessary.
Manage and maintain individual ticket queue as well as review other IT group queues to ensure requests are being executed based on service goals.
Provide installation services for new locations.
Resolve application, hardware, and network problems in a timely manner. Escalate issues to the next level when necessary.
Periodically report on problem trends for the purpose of developing corrective measures.
Coordinate the use of spare equipment and the movement of assets for external repair.
Coordinate the disposal of computer equipment in a manner consistent with privacy regulations.
Participate in training sessions in the use of application software and hardware.
Provide hardware support including the proper use of network workstations, printers and scanners.
Provide implementation support for new practices as defined by the Director of Business Operations.
Travel to other offices as needed.
Make periodic visits to customer locations to inspect the condition of information assets and initiates corrective procedures to maintain equipment properly.
May provide on-call coverage as part of 24 by 7 support team.
Participate in the evaluation of new equipment and makes recommendations for replacement of aged devices.
May assist in computer operations functions as designated under the guidance of the technology team including and not limited to procedures for software installation services.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Annual salary range: $58,458.00 - $70,657.00

Minimum of two years of experience in a similar capacity. Education may be substituted for experience.
Desktop support experience in a Windows environment.
Detailed understanding of computer hardware and software and tools for remediating problems.
Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel to remote locations.
