Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time APRN for a School Based Health Center in West Fork, AR serving students, faculty and families in the surrounding community. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Practices within the scope of competency as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Arkansas
- Conducts thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Diagnoses and treats a wide range of medical conditions, including chronic diseases and acute illnesses.
- Utilizes established evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Utilizes all Clinic resources to improve patient outcomes, including behavioral health consultants, Diabetic Educators, audiologists, etc.
- Keeps abreast of current trends in health care including attending regular and required continuing education programs.
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Ensures clinical notes are entered in the patient’s electronic medical record in an accurate and timely manner, according to industry standards and Community Clinic policy.
- Adheres to and commits to the mission of Community Clinic. Reinforces the mission with staff and promotes the mission to the community.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing, or medical school or program.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Hold a current appropriate DEA number.
- Experience in an FQHC or other ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
- Able to perform autonomously and exercise discretion and independent judgment. Also able to consult with Medical Director or other physician about major issues.
